To begin with... a vision, a detail in a photo or a painting, a combination of colors or materials that draws me in and touches me. I make it my own, I experiment, and I imagine. Sometimes along the way, an unexpected event, an "accident" as I call it, unsettles me, pushes me, inspires me. I delve into it, I search, I get lost, and suddenly there's a landscape, a forest, a joyful abstraction, or a certain geometry. To arrive at... the calmness I feel when I see on my canvas this harmony of colors and shapes that combine and blend to translate my emotions.
